Growing up with a name like Blossom usually meant one of two things:

        A) Someone born in the 90’s asked if you were named after a powerpuff girl
        B) Someone born before the 90’s asked if you were named after the sitcom

The real answer is neither. My mom found beauty in the symbolism of a flower blooming, becoming something greater than one could ever imagine from the beginning. She passed this insight on to me (as well as the name).

My name is Blossom Liu and I am a multidisciplinary graphic designer studying at ArtCenter College of Design, with a minor in Social Innovation through the DesignMatters program. Growing up in Portland, I was always taught to be open minded, conscious of the people and world around me, and weird. I am deeply passionate about using my design skills to create positive change and social impact. I am dedicated to using my voice and platform as a catalyst for conversation, representation, and solidarity. I want to create something greater than one could ever imagine from the beginning, much like my name symbolizes.
